Not bad for a delectable pie, from humble beginnings. I first tasted this classic pie for thanksgiving, when I was in Pennsylvania and also made Shoo Fly Pie when I returned to New Zealand. One for my family ,and a second pie to give as gift to my neighbor. Everyone remembers the warm ,delicious , flavorful dessert fondly!

Hi, what a great name! ha ha it sounds like our treacle tart, that we have over here, cheers nell
Hi Nell,
Yes the name is quaint lol ,and Im sure it must be the same as your Treacle tart. My Grandmother was Scottish and I seem to remember her making something with Molasses or Treacle, which we thought was the best thing on this planet.
Thanks again for your comments.xox

I must be honest and tell you I've never tried a "Shoo-Fly Pie"...Maybe it has something to do with the word "Fly" in the title, but I must say your presentation and pics sound & look delicious....You may have converted me & Thanks for the recipie
