Caramel candy apples are delicious to eat and kids love making and decorating them.

Dont like bubbles appearing in your caramel apples?
Soaking the apples in very hot water for about 10-15mins before dipping will force the gas out of the apples, magic ,nice shiny smooth appearance.

The very advice I can give you though is this
Make sure before dipping apples into the caramel that apples are DRY and at ROOM TEMPERATURE or the Carmel will just slide right on off those babies.
Patience and doing the small things well ,will definitely produce awesome eating caramel apples!

Chilling apples overnight or even for a couple of hours will greatly improve the finished result.

Granny Smith Apples are so far the crispiest apple for making caramel apples ,but I like variety and better than wasting what you have on hand ,so use whatever you have in the kitchen or if you have orchard apples falling from the tree (any tree) ,why not have an apple recipe week-end with a couple of friends and save that nutritional food from going to waste!
